Acorn Cap Peg People

We collected a handful of acorn caps to play with and we used them to make little acorn peg people.

They seem like little guardians of the fall festivities–not letting the Christmas elves take over just yet.

Owen enjoyed coloring little features on the peg people.

After a number of assembly-line similar ones Owen surprised me with this gem. A little acorn cap mom holding an acorn baby.  The beautiful product of some uninterrupted time and free access to creative materials.  Children are amazing.
